The club supports and recommends enrolment on the BMFA Achievement Schemes and has three experienced instructors who can prepare pilots for the appropriate tests.
Instructions can take place using a repeat transmitter as 'buddy' box for safe initial flying before new pilots move on to flying with the instructor in 'close' support!
This can take place using the club's own trainer planes or with the new pilot's own plane; the club members will be pleased to talk over the selection and purchase of a new plane and transmitter etc if this is helpful.
Following your instruction, or to have a level to aim at, we are now in a position to offer 'in house' BMFA Achievement A and B tests with our new club examiner. These tests are a useful, certificated confirmation of both the level of flying skills reached, and of the understanding of all relevant safety rules and regulations.
Crashes happen to all of us and are part of the learning curve. This trainer plane was repaired and flies still.
